How Does Eyebrow Tattoo Removal Work?

The laser emits a pulse of light that is absorbed into the pigment/ink. The light enters the skin at a speed that is too fast to heat the skin tissue (billionths of a second), instead, it produces a ‘shock wave’ effect and breaks up the ink particles into smaller pieces, the body then recognises these particles as something that shouldn’t be there and attacks it. The particles are then removed naturally via the body’s own elimination system.

After treatment the treated area will most likely be red and feel like it has mild sunburn. This typically goes away after a couple of hours. 

After each treatment session you will be given detailed aftercare advice on how to care for your treated area. Your body needs time to break down the ink pigments after each laser eyebrow removal treatment. Each treatment will be scheduled approximately 4 weeks apart.

Due to the nature of this procedure, it is impossible to predict exactly how many treatments it will take for complete results. It could take as little as 1 treatment, or as many as 4 treatments depending on exactly what ink/pigment was used and how it was put into your skin. Permanent makeup inks are different to traditional tattoo inks. 

Eyebrow tattoos are traditionally small so the treatment time is quick. Most people describe the procedure as painless or slight discomfort, however you can numb the area using a lidocaine based numbing agent (cream) prior to the procedure should you prefer.

You can if you wish just remove a small section or the whole area, the procedure can be tailored down to millimetres, so we can be as precise as possible for you. 

The eyebrow PMU removal process is very fast with minimal discomfort. Some people experience

slight swelling and redness which usually goes down very quickly. We recommend using aloe Vera gel on the treatment area to soothe and aid healing. On rare occasions slight blistering on the treated area is possible. On some rare occasions, you may see temporary lightening, or darkening of the skin.

These side effects are usually in the first few hours after treatment, but they will reduce.

Most people find that their skin returns to normal within 24 hours and some up to 2 weeks.

Once my eyebrows have been removed can I get them re done?

Yes, once you’re fully healed you can.
